Yelp’s #1 Best Rated Vespa Service In Los Angeles

ScooterDoc specializes in Vespa Service, Maintenance, and Repair. We are one of the top authorities on Vespas and we even have bike owners calling from all throughout the United States to ask us questions on how to restore their bikes.

We’re Your Friendly Neighborhood Vespa Service Center

Bring Your Bike To An Expert Vespa Mechanic

Rich and his team are world class Vespa mechanics. In fact, not long ago we would only work exclusively on Vespas. The reason why we wanted to focus exclusively on Vespas is because there are certainly enough of them out there throughout LA county who need service and attention, and secondly because of our passion for this model bike. We love the look, the story, the design, the colors…wow…we simply love everything about the bike. However, we decided to work on other scooters because there was a real need for someone who knows what they’re doing and someone who will look out for the owner’s best interests.

Need Vespa Body Work Repair Services?

Been in an accident? Do you need Vespa body work repair done on your ride? ScooterDoc performs complete bike restorations after an accident. We even work with your insurance company to approve the work to be completed by us. We can replace panels and sections of your bike so that it looks new again. We also do paint jobs to match the color of the repairs to the rest of your bike. And if we can’t restore your bike to its original state, then nobody can.

We Provide Scooter Troubleshooting Services

Wondering what’s wrong with your bike? Not to worry. We provide scooter troubleshooting services. We’ve been in the business for so long that we usually know exactly what is causing the sound you are hearing, or the problem you are experiencing. Sometimes the issues can be one of two different issues. In that case we can take apart the bike to investigate further. Sometimes we discover that there are multiple issues. Once we pinpoint the exact problem, we will call you with the cost of the repair which includes the cost of the parts needed to get the bike running. We love reviving bikes that have come in dead on arrival.

Vespa Recommended Maintenance Schedule

Here are some Vespa maintenance recommendations from the manual. The manufacturer outlines that the oil and oil filter be replaced ever 3,750 miles. Spark plug and the drive belt should be replaced every 12,000 miles. Every two years the transmission lubricate should be inspected, as well as nuts, bolts, fasteners, suspension, battery and electrical system, tire wear, carburetor, and muffler heat shield washers. This maintenance schedule was pulled from a Vespa ET 4 manual for information purposes only. Different models and older years may have different manufacture recommendations. See your manual for exact details and suggested routine maintenance.

“Rich was willing to check out my Lance scooter which was already a huge plus since he specializes in Vespas. He picked it up for a reasonable price (another plus!) and came very quickly after I’d called. Before leaving, he asked about some history on the scooter and gave me some tips to keep it running well and on what repairs could help avoid more costly service in the future.

The issue with my scooter appeared to be a result of some mishandling in the past, so unfortunately it had to go back to the shop where it was serviced before. Still, Rich offered to transport it himself and took care of contacting the old shop to confirm that they could fix it. His service lives up to all the great reviews even though it wasn’t an issue he could resolve. I haven’t worked with any other place that goes out of the way to ensure anyone doing business with them has a good experience.”

“After having such bad and mediocre experiences at other repair shops, it was so refreshing to finally have such exemplary service! My bike was basically in bad condition due to negligence encountered during previous maintenance inspections at other service shops. Rich made it his priority to make sure everything was done to satisfaction and to get us on our way with a perfect running Vespa. Not only did he do an amazing job fixing everything that had been screwed prior, but he was so good with keeping in contact with me filling me in on what was going on and how long it would take. Customer service was definitely wonderful, and when we finally picked up my bike, I was so happy with the outcome! Thank you so much Rich and Scooter Doc for fixing my bike and being such wonderful and genuine people to work with! Trust me, it’s super hard to find someone honest out there in the repair world. Choose Scooter Doc!”
